Balancing Heat, Air and Material in Sauna Design
A well-designed sauna is more than a warm interior; airflow, surface temperature and service access work together.
Bench levels, heater position and fresh-air supply are not isolated decisions. They are coordinated with the room geometry to distribute heat evenly and maintain comfortable breathing conditions.
Timber is not selected by colour alone. Density, resin behaviour, tactile temperature, humidity movement, cleaning and replaceability determine long-term performance.
Technical equipment may be visually concealed, but control, servicing and safety access must never become inaccessible.
